Our facility offers you and your family a smaller, more comfortable setting than what is usually found in a full-service, traditional hospital. However, we continually invest in the latest technologies to ensure that your physician and expert team of medical professionals have the tools they need to treat your condition quickly, safely, and cost-effectively.
Manhattan Surgical Hospital opened its doors to the public in 2001 and since that time we have quickly become the destination of choice for many people in northeast central Kansas requiring surgical care. The Facility performs over 10,000 procedures annually in multiple specialties. We are licensed in the state of Kansas as a Hospital and have 13 private, in-patient rooms, 6 operating rooms, 4 endoscopy suites, and a full service pain management clinic.
Manhattan Surgical Hospital continues its investment in Healthcare in Manhattan and the surrounding area, acquiring the Central Kansas Cancer Center in June of 2017. This insures that cancer patients in the area continue to get the highest level of Radiation Therapy for their cancer treatment in their own community. MSH also responded to the urgent needs of the community for access to Primary Care. In July 2018, MSH opened the Blue River Family Medicine practice.

Our Story
Manhattan Surgical Hospital was established in 2001 with a commitment to patient satisfaction and care. We are able to offer first-rate care by being responsive to the needs of the growing patient population in northeast central Kansas and by efficiently providing the best quality of care.
Additionally, being the only physician-owned hospital in the area sets us apart because our medical staff has a direct investment in the quality of care you receive. This ensures you are treated with the respect, dignity, and compassion you deserve.

Our facility is comprised of six operating rooms, 13 inpatient rooms, three endoscopy suites, and five pain management treatment rooms, all equipped with the latest medical technology available. Our friendly staff is ready to care for you following a surgery or procedure, or answer any questions you may have along the way.

A recent survey from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services found that 93% of MSH patients would recommend its services to friends and family. We're proud to point out that this percentage is far higher than the 74% for hospitals in Kansas and 69% for all U.S. hospitals.
We believe our rate of patient satisfaction can be attributed to quality care, open and honest communication pre- and post-procedure, and a nearly one-to-one ratio of caregivers to patients.
